Baby Food Receipt

I love cooking . Whatever Asian or western style.. I just love to learn and discover more...
Now, being a 5 months baby myself, also with my years working experiences with young babies and toddlers, I started my cooking journey for the younger ones. I would love to share  all my receipt  with new parents too.

People were telling me baby should start eating solid food when they are about 6 months, but I started my boy from 4.5 months, and he was doing great. I guess that all depends on the parents, you know your child the best, when you think they are getting ready,  why not just try it??? It's a lot of fun, at least I enjoy it.

I hate buying baby jar food , and totally against it. All my receipt here are very simple and quick to make. You would find they are Asian and Western style included, just explore and find the best one for you and your little one.  I will continue update new ones after I "explore", and try to upload the pictures too later.

Now I am going to introduce some vegetables and fruits puree which most parents may know already.

First Vegetable Puree ( potato, sweet potato, butternut squash/pumpkin, zucchini, cauliflower/broccoli puree )
Baby's first food should be mild in taste, easy to digest, completely smooth. Begin with single ingredient purees in the first week, then progress to combination.
I started from sweet potato, butternut squash, zucchini.
1.Chop the vegetable into small pieces, put in a steamer over boiling water and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
2. Blend the vegetable to a puree
3. spoon a little puree in to baby's bowl and serve lukewarm. ( pour the remainder into ice-cube tray and freeze)

First Fruit puree ( banana, pear, apple, papaya, avocadeo)
All fruits must be cooked , except banana.
same method when you make vegetable puree.

Creamy Vegetable puree
Mix together the baby rice cereal and milk . ( 1 tbs baby rice cereal, 3 tbs breast milk or formula, 4 tbsp first vegetable puree )

Fruity baby rice cereal
Mix together the cereal and milk. ( 1 tbs baby rice cereal, 3 tbs breast milk or formula, 4 tbs first fruit puree )

to be continued....

Love is all about "Giving" & "Receiving"...

My dad was back to Shanghai two days ago, but we already felt there was so much quieter in the house, felt like something missing... not only "less traffic", there is more "missing"...
Dad came here  before I gave birth, my mom came after and she stayed for 3 months, dad had been staying with us for 6 months, we are really appreciated how much help they gave to us, support, caring  and love.. as Chinese parents they were just trying to "GIVE" as much as they could. When Dad gave us goodbye hug at the airport, his eyes were wet, I could imagine how much he was going to miss the little one...I wanted to say thank you but i was speechless. I am one of the Asian, I don't know how to express my feeling..
I went to attend my business client's son's Grad ceremony yesterday, watched him standing on the stage, my 5 months boy  was sleeping in the stroller, I already started to think about one day in the future, I would be the one seeing my son walking up to the stage again...
Life is just amazing. I was a little girl long time ago, and in a sudden became a mom, starting my family. Now I am going to follow the path my parents did , trying to raise my child to be a good person in the future. What I had received I will give all to my son.Guess that is the life everyone has in the world....
